Norma transparentności jako składnik świadomości metodologicznej w nauce

Krzysztof Nowak-Posadzy

Abstract

An emerging norm of science called transparency, as well as a new methodological directive called disclosure are becoming the object of increasing interest within the reflection on science (science policy, ethics of scientific research, economics of science or methodology of science). It is possible to distinguish at least two approaches to the problem in question: (1) within the approach endogenous to specific disciplines, both questionable and sound research practices related to transparency in quantitative and qualitative research are analyzed in order to formulate certain directives improving research activities at the stage of research planning and realization, documenting its course and results as well as publishing and presenting its results; (2) within the approach exogenous to specific disciplines, only hidden elements of research culture (methodological consciousness) are reconstructed in the form of norms and directives which in a subjective-rational manner regulate scientific practice of a given research community in order to supplement what is omitted or unsaid in everyday research practice and what is characteristic for acadamic, commercial or post-academic sciences.
