Duchowość w czasach interakcji z maszyną

Abstract

The article discusses the problem of an influence of human interactions with machines that simulate personality on spirituality understood in theology as a reality founded on the relationship with God. The perspective of theoretical theological reflection is presented here, based on the fundamental assumptions of the Christian doctrine. The basic assumption is the necessity of interpersonal relationships for our spiritual development. A relationship with a machine cannot replace interpersonal interactions. It cannot fulfil the functions typical for the development of spirituality. If encounters with a machine are to simulate personal relationships, they can also have an impact on spirituality. Above all, the possibility of adverse consequences of this influence has been noted, with the proposed predictions and hypotheses offered as a starting point for further debates.
