Abstract
AN OPEN ACCESS TO KNOWLEDGE – ON SOME COMMON FEATURES OF OBERT BOYLE’S IDEA OF POPULARIZING SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND THE WIKIPEDIA PROJECT
One of the aims of the Wikipedia project is constructing and promoting knowledge-based society. The task is realized by spreading knowledge to large groups of visitors and contributors to Wikipedia. The same idea inspired the creators of the modern paradigm of scientific knowledge. The article compares the models of popularizing knowledge proposed by Robert Boyle and the present community of the Wikipedia project.
