Constructivisms. A Reply to Michał Rydlewski
Abstract
The aim of the article is to discuss some issues which were brought up by Michał Rydlewski. The author agrees with Rydlewski that there is a tension between social (or cultural) constructivism and postconstructivism. He acknowledges that the sticking point is the notion of culture. But the author of this reply thinks Rydlewski is not always fair when he attacks postconstructivism. Rydlewski has a tendency to treat postconstrutivism as a unified current and he sometimes forgets how complex it is. In effect he does not take into account that, for example, postconstructivist approach to the notion of culture is also complicated.
