Abstract

The Paradoxes of Omnipotence

Paradoxes of omnipotence pointed out various difficulties of defining attribute of God’s omnipotence. One of clarification of the paradoxes of omnipotence is paradox of the stone, which has been extensively discussed in contemporary analytical philosophy of religion. In this article we give an account of this discussion, which had its beginning in the sixties of the twentieth century and brought interesting proposals for solutions to this paradox.
