Abstract

The essay is a description of two paintings by Jan Kaja, painted between 1986 and 2011. It presents thematic elements of the paintings, regarding their symbolism and Christological inspirations. He also draws the attention to techniques applied by the painter and the influence of various artistic trends perceptible and recognizable in the painter’s art.
