Potentia Absoluta and Robert Boyle’s Epistemic Frames of Reference

The aim of this article is presentation Robert Boyle’s theological beliefs impact to the shape of epistemological assumptions of his scientific knowledge conception. Boyle’s theistic beliefs and his views on the question of God’s omnipotence in particular, were a significant element defining his “epistemic reference frame,” which provide the framework of his research laboratory style.
